The 15th “Miyata Gakuen children Cafeteria” which offers free food to the local children was held in the cafeteria of Nishinihon International Education Institute on Friday, February 2nd.
26 kinds had fun time eating ehomaki (sushi roll eaten during setsubun), pork and beans, fish fries, soup, and cheese cake together.
This was the last day for Mrs. Mend, who came to our school for a month training from National University of Mongolia which is the top university in Mongolia. She also helped cooking as a volunteer.
This time’s event was the piano and guitar performance played by volunteers. Everyone sang Japanese children’s songs together such as “Yuki,” “Tonbo-no-megane,” and “Yuyake-koyake.” In addition, children enjoyed throwing dried soy beans to a red and blue demon.
There will be different meal menu and fun event to communicate with international students every time in Miyata Gakuen Children Cafeteria.
The next will be from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16th. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
