The staffs of our school and the students of Leiden University had a cherry-blossom viewing at the park near school on Friday, April 8th.
Total 51 people including CEO Mr. Miyata, the principal Mrs. Miyata, and the students of Leiden University joined this event. They enjoyed cherry-blossom viewing taking photos of cherry-blossom, eating curry, Tonjiru (Miso soup with pork and vegetables), and fried chicken made by the teachers.
The participating students told their feeling in Japanese “This is the first time for me to have a cherry-blossom viewing. I am glad that I could make a great memory here in Japan.” It was also useful time for the teachers to understand other culture and get along with students from Netherland.
The 15 students of Leiden University will study Japanese language and culture at this school for about three months from now. We are looking forward to seeing them have grown up when they go back to Netherland.
